The Governors of Wyken Croft Primary School are excited to offer a part‑time play worker role within our successful Phoenix Club. The club is an established before and after school facility providing high‑quality care for our children. We currently operate both morning and afternoon sessions daily and operate during the school holidays. We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

This post is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Have a good understanding of what makes good quality childcare.
  • Have a level 2 qualification or higher in childcare or be working towards this qualification.
  • Have the ability to create and maintain excellent levels of behaviour.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have excellent teamwork skills.
  • Have the ability to provide creative play opportunities both inside and outside.
Additional responsibilities
  • Be able to set up the equipment daily.
  • Be able to put equipment away at the end of each session.
  • Be proactive in ensuring the club has a clean and tidy environment.
  • Be able to work both outside and inside.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
