The RoleWe are recruiting a Procurement & Contract Officer to join our busy procurement team at CU Corporate Services Limited, a sister company of Coventry University. In this role you will play a keyдықтан in providing a high‑quality, cost‑effective procurement service across the Coventry University Group, ensuring adherence to financial procedures, regulations, procurement strategy and UK legislation.
You will lead the procurement lifecycle for low/medium risk projects, support higher risk/value projects as needed, provide expert guidance on procurement and contract management, and maintain compliance with public‑sector regulations and institutional policies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop specifications and tender criteria that meet legislative and regulatory requirements, manage client expectations with clear deliverables, and drive value for money, risk mitigation and stakeholder confidence in procurement excellence.
You will also support the Senior Category Manager for Professional Services and mentor junior team members.
Our Successful CandidateCandidate should hold a good general level of education to A‑Level standard or equivalent and be a member or working towards membership of the MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
They should have a strong procurement background with knowledge of public‑sector regulations hökü, experience dealing with customers, handling queries, and providing specialist advice and guidance.
Experience with large spreadsheets, databases and hardware and software asset management systems is required.
The ideal professional is flexible, proactive, meets deadlines, adapts to changing priorities, is an excellent communicator and has strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in procurement within the education or public sector would be advantageous.
