Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established firm in Coventry, with the appointment of a Qualified Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who will, over the coming years, have the chance to take ownership of a portfolio of clients as part of the firm's succession planning strategy. The role offers genuine long-term progression within a respected practice, with the potential to step into a leadership position.

• You will be dealing with small businesses and understanding the challenges that they face.
• Predominantly dealing with small owner managed clients.
• Assist with accounts preparation, VAT, Payroll and Management Accounts.
• Contribute to the timely preparation of tax returns for self‑assessment, corporation, and partnership tax.
• Foster strong client relationships through positive and proactive communication.
• Provide accurate financial advice and support to clients while collaborating with senior accountants as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Able to mentor junior team members.

• ACCA/ ACA Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience)
• Happy to work in a small firm with a close knit team
• This is an office based role with a possibility of working from home as and when a need arises, but the general expectation is 5 days in the office.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused, solutions-oriented mindset are essential.
