About the Role:

The Quality and Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that construction materials and processes meet stringent quality standards while maintaining accurate inventory records. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and project specifications. The specialist will collaborate closely with procurement, project management, and site teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly, minimizing delays and cost overruns.

Additionally, the role involves managing inventory levels to optimize resource availability and reduce waste, supporting efficient project execution. Ultimately, this position ensures that construction projects are delivered with the highest quality standards and operational efficiency, contributing to overall client satisfaction and company reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control and inventory management within the construction/building supply industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and quality control tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) or Inventory Management.
  • Experience with Lean Construction principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software such as Bis Track.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control protocols for construction materials and processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of incoming materials, work in progress, and completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, usage rates, and reorder points for construction supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to address quality concerns and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality control findings, inventory status, and corrective actions taken.
  • Train and support site personnel on quality standards and inventory management best practices.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align quality and inventory control activities with project timelines and budgets.
