We’re looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to bring structure, consistency, and leadership to our satellite warehouse in Coventry, RI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging environment and knows how to earn trust by working alongside their team — not just directing from a desk. You’ll take ownership of organizing the warehouse, improving processes, and motivating a close‑knit crew through example and clear communication.

This is a full‑time, onsite role (Monday–Friday, ~7–7:30 a.m. start) with annual travel to Magid’s headquarters or other Magid warehouse locations.

What will you do?
  • Develop and implement long‑term strategic initiatives to grow warehouse operational capabilities.
  • Lead warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintain warehousing and distribution shipping operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Hire and train new warehouse employees.
  • Identify, monitor, and report key team performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis. Hold team and individuals accountable to performance based on metrics.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve operations productivity, quality, cost effectiveness, and/or safety.
  • Coach direct reports in the areas of situational decision making, prioritization and organization, constructive feedback, employee recognition, and career development.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
  • Minimize warehousing costs through vigilant monitoring of planned and actual costs, seeking opportunities to improve operations expense management.
  • Plan and monitor optimal space utilization and efficient inventory flow.
  • Support and enhance the warehouse as a Safe workplace by leading the safety function for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts as needed; inspecting equipment; working proactively with the maintenance department for repair and replacement of faulty or obsolete equipment.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills

Experience / Education Required / Sought
  • Associate degree required or equivalent experience;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in operating motorized warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements / PPE
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
