Position Summary

Under general supervision and medical direction, the Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies. Responsibilities include patient assessment and management, therapy administration, ventilator management, airway care, documentation, discharge planning, and participation in interdisciplinary care.

The patient population is primarily adult and geriatric within skilled nursing and long-term care settings.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an NBRC-approved and accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred
  • Current State Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
