Administers, organizes and directs the activities of the Assessor’s Office as prescribed by State Statutes. Responsible for supervision of and participation in establishing and recording the assessed valuations of real, personal, and motor vehicle property, including the annual update of the Grand List (Grand List 2025 of $1,). Directly supervises assistant and administrative help as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field required.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in a municipal assessor s office or property assessment work, including computerized processing of assessment data via CAMA software and Assessment Administration/Tax Accounting software.
• Must be certified as Municipal Assessor by the State of Connecticut.

• Full-time position, 37 hours per week.
• Salary range: $90,000 - $103,500 DOE.
