The Community Day Services (CDS) provides programs to enhance each individual's adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall independence, and community integration. The CDS is seeking a Training Specialist/DSP to join the Community Day Services Program.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Pay Rate: $20.54 hourly.

• The individual will be responsible for implementing methods of instruction consistent with current skills and performance curriculum.
• Adapts work stations to meet the needs of the consumers and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Prepares required documentation for agency caseworkers.
• Provides crisis counseling and emergency interventions to consumers as needed.
• Responsible for transporting clients in a van.
• Monitors and records operating conditions of the vehicle daily and reports mechanical problems to the Supervisor immediately.
• While transporting clients, complies with routing, safety and other transportation procedures.
• Tracks and records client transportation and other information as required.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Able to demonstrate approved behavior management techniques.
• DSP certification preferred, not required (In-house training available).
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred, not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test.
• Pass an MVR background check.
