Overview
Alabama State University, College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cyanobacteria Photosynthesis. The project is a collaboration among the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL), and Alabama State University (ASU). It targets the isolation, photosynthesis, and applications of cyanobacteria strains collected in Alabama and Gulf Coast regions.
Responsibilities- Lead training and cyanobacterial research initiatives.
- Develop the Alabama Regional Microalgae and Cyanobacteria Collection Center (ARMCCC).
- Teach laboratory research to students.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Peer‑reviewed publications and experience in cyanobacteria research preferred.
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Ability to perform essential functions and perform identity verification on Form I‑9 within three (3) business days of employment.
