Overview
This position performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith and grounds-keeping.

- Perform a wide range of non-technical maintenance
- Maintaining grounds and grounds equipment
- Ability to do tasks as assigned in an efficient and timely manner with little supervision
- May perform general maintenance tasks
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Monitors and performs non-technical standard repairs to building electrical facilities and systems, such as bulbs, fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets; assists licensed electricians as appropriate
- Monitors and performs non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems, to include standard repair of leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed waste lines, and/or performing non-technical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems; assists licensed plumbers, as appropriate
- Performs carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and counter top replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation, paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate
- Performs snow removal, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Ability to present information both verbally and in writing in a professional manner
- Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as needed
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out
- Wear/use PPE at all times
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
- Work in a cooperative manner with management, co-workers, internal/external customers and vendors
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screen & pre-employment physical if applicable
- The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
