Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support visitors and employees with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while using Allied Universal tools as needed.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon – Wed, 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and location leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, trailers, parking areas, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor directions, and documenting arrivals and departures per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate noteworthy observations to oncoming personnel and site representatives.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
