L&D RN – Clinical Prescreen / Auto Offer

• Radius Rule: 50 miles – candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility.
• Driver’s license required: at submittal to verify distance.
• Clinic affiliation: candidates may not be full‑time, part‑time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
• Fingernail Policy (Strict Enforcement): artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments. Refusal to remove artificial nails will result in termination of the contract.
• Orientation Requirement: RNs must take a Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. The exam is open book and based on skills learned during orientation. A minimum score of 90% is required to pass. Failure to achieve 90% will result in termination.

  BLS, NRP.
• Experience: no specific minimum years required.
• Must be comfortable with: Labor, Deliveries, Postpartum. NICU experience is highly preferred.
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 Mom/Baby couplets; 1:1 Labor patients (depending on case).
• Unit Details: Level 1 Maternal Care; low‑risk births; occasional magnesium (Mag) and gestational diabetes (GDM) patients; common drips: insulin, magnesium, Pitocin; IV pumps:
  Alaris pumps; charge nurse present on each shift; charge nurse takes an assignment.
• Scheduling: weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend; floating: not required (closed unit); block scheduling: preference for flexible candidates.
