Description:

The position involves working in a Labor and Delivery unit.
Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
Refusal to comply with the fingernail policy may lead to termination.
Candidates should be able to handle labors, deliveries, and postpartum care effectively.
Common diagnoses include Level 1 maternal care and low-risk births.
Occasional cases may involve magnesium and gestational diabetes patients.
Common medications administered include insulin, magnesium, and pitocin.
Staff utilizes Alaris IV pumps for medication delivery.
Charge nurses are available on each shift and also take patient assignments.
Weekend work is required every third week.
This is a closed unit; floating to other units is not required.
The hospital reserves the right to cancel shifts as per their policy.
Charting is done using the EPIC system.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required for this position.
