Part Time Front of House

Description

Responsible for the processes involved in obtaining cash sales, credit sales, meal plans, and declining balances. Responsible for upkeep and re-stocking of the galley during meal service. Responsible to set, serve and clean-up catering functions as assigned.

• Enforce guidelines, policies and procedures set forth by the Food Service Department
• Practice superior customer service to all staff, faculty, students and guests of the college
• Responsible for the process involved in obtaining cash sales, credit sales, meal plans, and declining balance
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Galley’s FOH operations which include, but is not limited to: restocking, cleaning, assisting the other cashier when needed, and making sure all customers have an excellent visit to our facility
• Ensure that the proper measures of safety and sanitation are practiced
• Responsible for communicating any suggestions, comments, complaints, and incidents that customers have expressed or experienced
• Assisting with catered events
• Organize event dates, delivery times, pickup times, etc.
• Ensuring set-up, service and take-down of each event scheduled
• Work in a professional manner with IWCC campus guests and clients to ensure a satisfactory guest experience in the galley and at catered events
• Assisting with the enforcement of the meal plan rules and 3-strike policy
• Regular, prompt & reliable attendance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED, post-secondary education preferred
• Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people
• Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team
• Professional in communications, appearance, relationships, and responsiveness
• Positive attitude

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle
