Unique opportunity to complete evaluations for clients who come in for support. After completion, another therapist will be assigned to provide therapeutic support.

Compensation: $50,000–$68,316 per year (salary determined by relevant experience).

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• License eligible: LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP, PLMSW, LMSW, LCSW.
• PLADCL, LADC, PCADC, CADC or substance abuse treatment experience preferred.

• Complete evaluations with a diverse population of clients with co‑occurring disorders using evidence‑based practices.
• Establish a treatment plan with client participation, specifying structure, outcomes, goals and objectives within the first two sessions.
• Provide counseling in individual, group, couple, family or other settings according to the treatment plan and monitor progress.
• Complete all case documentation for clinical and billing purposes, maintaining records that meet standards of timeliness and completeness.
• Handle cases of high complexity.
• Collaborate with all Heartland Family Service programs to inform evaluation recommendations and support continuity of care.
• Promptly and accurately complete all required reports, statistics and other reporting requirements.
• Meet clinical requirements of third‑party payers (authorizations, reviews, documentation) and provide necessary billing information.
• Provide mental health crisis intervention as needed.
• Be dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Strive to connect the agency with the larger community to support fundraising and friend‑raising efforts.
• Perform functions at the company’s physical work site or designated workspace.
• Abide by all specific program and agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
• Develop personal and program‑related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities.
• Create, maintain and share a dynamic self‑care plan and assist interns in developing appropriate work‑life balance.
• Perform other program‑related duties as assigned.
