Adjunct EMS Instructor

Overview

This position will be responsible for delivering all levels of the EMS program classes as assigned and must be willing to teach a variety of methodologies. The instructor will also be responsible for course instruction and classroom management.

• Deliver all levels of the EMS program classes as assigned and teach a variety of methodologies.
• Teach classroom, laboratory, and clinical sessions.
• Assess student learning.
• Be responsible for materials and supplies.
• Possibly teach at multiple sites during the course, as class may be held at various IWCC campuses.

• Current State of Iowa license
• Ability to pass a background check and MVR
• Knowledge of current National EMS Education Standards
• Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record

Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require light lifting. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, telephone, faxes, and copiers.
