Breeze Airways is hiring for a Manager Avionics, Interiors and Structures Engineering. The role is responsible for managing engineering activities related to aircraft Avionics, Structures, Interiors, and related components on the Airbus and Embraer aircraft. The Manager of Engineering maintains airworthiness and regulatory compliance as required by the FAA and supports the company’s aircraft fleet. This position requires experience with aircraft systems, federal regulations, development of modifications and repairs, project planning, and project management.
Responsibilities include aircraft Avionics, Structures, and Interiors; configuration management; certification approvals; airworthiness directives; data analysis; project development and implementation; and oversight of component reliability solutions. The Manager Avionics, Interiors and Structures Engineering will lead and manage engineering projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage all aspects of the aircraft Avionics, Structures, Interiors, and reliability programs
- Manage and approve engineering documentation to ensure it supports company goals and timelines
- Assign and monitor engineers projects to ensure on-time performance
- Provide and coordinate troubleshooting to resolve chronic items using Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) procedures or consulting with the manufacturer for further assistance
- Work with Maintenance Control and Maintenance Operations to minimize aircraft out-of-service time, delays and deferred maintenance items
- Support requests for technical assistance from all company departments
- Evaluate and prioritize requests, communicate with applicable departments, and execute plans
- Develop technical data required for modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting of aircraft Avionics, Structures, Interiors, and related components
- Obtain regulatory approval for modifications and repairs
- Review and respond to Airworthiness Directives (AD) to ensure compliance with FAA, EASA and other regulatory requirements
- Review Service Bulletins, Service Letters, modifications, and other engineering documents for applicability, systems reliability, and economic benefits
- Participate in budget and fiscal policy-setting discussions
- Available to work off hours to support engineering requests
- Represent engineering at internal and industry meetings
- Other duties as assigned to support Breeze in achieving its operational goals and objectives

Minimum Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical fields
- 10+ years of engineering experience relating to aircraft Avionics, Structures, Interiors, and related components
- 10+ years of experience in technical report writing for test plans, test results, structural substantiations, and regulatory compliance reports
- 10+ years of experience in Part 121 and/or 135 airline environments – Technical Services / Engineering or comparable maintenance and overhaul experience
- Knowledge of Airbus A220 and Embraer aircraft structures, interiors and avionics
- Must have valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Trax (M&E) control system
- AutoCAD drawing systems
- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Familiar with Time Controlled Parts, Reliability Programs, FARs, and manufacturer documentation including Maintenance Manuals, IPCs, Troubleshooting Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Aircraft Drawings, CMMs, SBs, STCs, and ADs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communications
