Chemical Engineer

We are STS Systems Defense LLC (SSD), a Government Consulting and Contracting firm supporting several federal agencies and military installations throughout the world. SSD is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team. Chemical Engineer’s role will support the Engineering Team’s ongoing mission at Hill AFB, UT. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

• Provide chemical engineering support for facility operations, infrastructure systems, and mission-related projects
• Evaluate chemical processes, materials, and systems for performance, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and review technical documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures
• Support hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with federal and DoD regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental, safety, and mechanical personnel
• Assist with inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance for chemical-related systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience (government or defense environment preferred)
• Knowledge of federal environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, DoD standards)
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Active Secret Clearance required
