Senior Gallerist, Costa Mesa

Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited-edition designer goods specializing in the micro-production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes. With each new collection, JMM embraces a unique palette of precious materials, rich colors, and striking geometric forms, which cleverly reference and beautifully reconfigure the striking individuals, artistic movements, and world events of previous centuries.

As the Jacques Marie Mage Senior Gallerist, reporting to the Gallery Director, you are in a hybrid Operations and Selling role. The aim is to create consistency in gallery preparedness to deliver the client experience. You will learn key operational processes to broaden your skill set to support in driving operational excellence. We offer an escape from the mundane and welcome clients into the unique and intentional world of Jacques Marie Mage.

Through the delivery of the client experience and storytelling you will ensure each client leaves our Galleries in awe remembering the way we made them feel.

Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

• Inventory control and stock management
• Ensure galleries are stocked in supplies required to deliver optimal client experience
• Actively assist in the gallery; ensuring each client is being attended to
• Storytell to submerge the client into the unique and intentional world of JMM
• Act with intention to go above and beyond to deliver the best client experience
• Adhere to policies and procedures

• Maintain and elevate operational processes within Gallery
• Responsible for inventory control, cycle counts, product care and shipments
• Maintain systems and processes POS/Cash Log
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing repairs
• Provide support with Vendor Management
• Oversee Gallery communication (Phone/Email)

• Consistently achieve individual sales targets and KPI’s
• Work directly with clients going above and beyond ensuring all their needs are met
• Assist clients in choosing the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs
• Establish and maintain a strong client book >30% appointments

• 3+ years retail experience
• Experience in a luxury environment
• Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, and Shopify
• Impeccable speaking and communication skills
• Maintains an entrepreneurial spirit and mentorship mentality
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Experience working in a client based business
• ABOC License is a plus
