Senior Negotiator / Attorney. Compensation: $120,000–$175,000 base salary + quarterly bonus.
Location:
Costa Mesa.
Work Schedule:
Onsite for first 90 days and then open to 2 days remote.

You’ll join a fast-moving, client-focused legal team that approaches every case with urgency, accountability, and respect for the people behind the claims. Position OverviewThe Senior Negotiator / Attorney will take ownership of complex, high-value personal injury matters in the pre-litigation phase. This role focuses on resolving catastrophic and commercial injury cases through sophisticated negotiation, compelling demand drafting, and strategic positioning. You will work closely with internal legal teams while serving as a primary point of contact for insurers, defense counsel, and clients.
Responsibilities- Lead settlement negotiations involving catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, and other serious personal injury claims
- Draft and refine comprehensive settlement demands that clearly present liability, damages, and long-term impact
- Analyze medical records, expert opinions, coverage issues, and exposure risks to identify leverage and maximize recovery
- Develop negotiation strategies based on policy limits, jurisdictional factors, and defense posture
- Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to drive efficient and favorable resolutions
- Maintain accurate documentation of negotiations, offers, counteroffers, and case progress
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to ensure alignment on strategy and case direction
- Provide consistent, professional updates to clients throughout the negotiation process
- Ensure deadlines, tasks, and case notes are properly tracked and calendared
- Attorney or senior-level negotiator with 5+ years of experience handling high-exposure personal injury or commercial injury matters
- Demonstrated success resolving high-value cases ($250k–$1M+, including policy-limit outcomes)
- Strong understanding of bodily injury valuation, insurance coverage analysis, and negotiation strategy
- Ability to assess complex medical and financial damages with sound judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive demand writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal case management platforms
- Comfortable managing a fast-paced caseload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Base salary range: $120,000–$175,000, depending on experience and credentials
