Job Summary

The Customer Service Specialist I serves as a primary point of contact for patients, members, and providers. This role is responsible for answering inbound calls, scheduling patient appointments, triaging calls as needed, and ensuring insurance coverage for diagnostic services. Using data and technology, the specialist functions as a liaison to deliver a high-value, personalized patient experience.

• Answer high-volume inbound calls from patients, members, and providers
• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
• Triage calls based on urgency and patient needs
• Verify insurance coverage and perform pre-certification as required
• Ensure eligibility and authorization for scheduled appointments
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and internal teams
• Document patient interactions accurately using EMR and scheduling systems

• 1–3 years of customer service experience
• 2+ years of direct experience scheduling radiology diagnostic testing
