ABOUT THE ROLE
Anduril’s Space Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Space Manufacturing team is responsible for assembly, integration, and test of ground support equipment, PCBA, unit-level, and integrated systems that are vital for our aerospace and defense operations. Your expertise will help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability at Anduril.
As a Manufacturing Engineer on our Space team, your responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with design, quality, and test teams to ensure successful delivery of PCBAs, box-level electronic assemblies, and other spacecraft hardware.

WHAT YOU’LL DO- Develop, document, and continuously improve processes for the manufacturing, assembly, and integration of PCBAs and box-level assemblies, ensuring compliance with space-grade standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is incorporated into product designs.
- Create manufacturing work instructions and assembly documentation for high-reliability PCBA and box assembly processes.
- Provide hands-on support to technicians during the assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of electronics hardware.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure all hardware meets aerospace quality standards (e.g., IPC-610/620 Class 3 or equivalent).
- Perform detailed root cause analyses (RCA) and drive corrective actions for non-conformances identified during manufacturing, test, and integration.
- Specify, procure, and maintain assembly tools, fixtures, and equipment required for PCBA and electronics manufacturing.
- Communicate with supply chain, program management, and test teams to manage priorities and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in design and manufacturing readiness reviews (DRRs, MRRs) for flight hardware.
- Analyze production data and implement initiatives to optimize throughput, reduce cycle times, and enhance product reliability.
- Lead efforts to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce production costs while maintaining compliance with mission-critical standards.
- 5+ years experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industries.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline
- Knowledge of aerospace or high-reliability electronics standards (e.g., IPC-610/620 Class 3, NASA-STD-8739.1/2/3).
- Technical understanding of Box-level assembly processes, including cabling, harnessing, and mechanical integration.
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Material Resource Planning (MRP)
- Familiarity with manufacturing process controls, quality assurance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interface with design engineers to address DFM or DFA challenges.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Experience working satellites & spacecraft hardware
- Harness design & schematic drawing capability
- Proficiency with tools such as CAD or 3D modeling software for tooling design.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or other contamination-controlled environments.
- Experience with assembling electro-optical instruments
US Salary Range: $129,000 — $171,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
