Responsibilities- Perform supplier capability assessments (quality systems, process controls, manufacturing capabilities and lean maturity).
- Publish audit reports outlining non‑conformities and opportunities for improvement; collaborate with suppliers to plan and implement corrective actions.
- Track supplier performance indicators based on scorecards and rankings to facilitate the supply base’s ability to meet or exceed expectations.
- Support supply‑chain cost‑reduction projects and lead APQP processes with suppliers, manufacturing facilities and engineering for on‑time PPAP approvals.
- Assist in driving supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
- Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfillment requirements, including AS9100.
- Deploy Safran Cabin quality processes, tools and metrics globally, with identification, training, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Develop positive relationships with sourcing leaders to manage, implement and track supplier/engineering changes, capacity studies and new‑product introductions & transfers.
- Educate suppliers on performance expectations and on the deployment of quality systems tools (8D, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, PPAP).
- Provide leadership during investigations of major problems and special projects; lead internal 8D teams related to defective purchase components.
- Work closely with suppliers, Safran Cabin manufacturing plant, engineering and supply‑chain organizations.
Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Quality Management.
Experience
:
Minimum 10 years of engineering, quality, supplier quality or supplier development experience in aerospace, automotive or mechanical manufacturing; minimum 5 years leading teams; minimum 5 years in manufacturing environments.
Computer Skills
:
Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); basic ERP knowledge.

:
Assertive, self‑starting leader with excellent communication skills; expertise in quality and lean techniques; experience managing rapid recovery projects; collaborative mindset; proven track record of achieving performance goals; experience in aerospace/automotive business; lean manufacturing knowledge; record of interfacing with multiple business units; knowledge of AS9100, ISO, APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, control plans; strong written and verbal business communication; ability to drive improvement and meet timeliness.
Preferred (not required):
Advanced degree or certification; experience with world‑class manufacturing;
Master’s degree;
Six Sigma green or black belt; certified quality auditor (CQA); certified quality engineer (CQE).
