Low Observables Engineer, Mission Systems

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop specifications for the application of LO materials
• Develop guidelines and specifications for the incorporation of supportable LO design features
• Develop Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) verification plans
• Develop procedures for Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing of LO aircraft and/or components
• Aid in the development of manufacturing plans for Low Observable air vehicles, including infrastructure, materials, component fabrication, and assembly processes
• Select, develop, and test LO materials to determine physical, electrical, and/or environmental properties

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience performing maintenance related activities on LO aircraft
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience with Tier 1/Tier 2 LO diagnostic tools
• Experience in the design and/or manufacture of LO materials or LO components
• Experience with LO Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) buildups and verification
• Working knowledge of LO design and analysis, survivability, and susceptibility
• Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. TS Security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with indoor and/or outdoor RCS testing
• 10+ years of experience
• Experience with effects of defects/effects of repair (EoD/EoR) test plan development and/or testing
• Experience with CAD tools such as (CATIA, NX)
• Experience in applying LO coatings
• RCS or IR analysis experience
• Advanced composite and structural aircraft repair experience on LO platforms
