We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer and eLearning Content Developer to support our global learning and development transformation. In this role, you will support the design and development of content for asynchronous / eLearning, instructor led training (ILT) and virtual instructor led training (VILT). In addition, you will be responsible for designing high-quality, polished and instructionally sound training decks used for live, virtual, and hybrid trainings.
You will leverage your understanding of instructional design principles and your proficiency to create high-quality training solutions that meet the needs of our learners. This role requires deep expertise in learning experience design, including learner interactions and modern learning platforms, as well as deep proficiency in PowerPoint (or equivalent presentation tools) with the ability to translate complex, technical, process or abstract concepts into clear, visually compelling, facilitator-ready materials.
This position is based in our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA and is expected to be in the office minimum 3 days a week.
Learning Content Development & Design- Collaborate with L&D and business process SMEs to identify learning objectives, content requirements and delivery modes for training initiatives.
- Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to create engaging and effective learning solutions for asynchronous and instructor led delivery.
- Design and develop a variety of asynchronous learning materials, including but not limited to:
- Interactive eLearning modules (SCORM/xAPI compliant)
- Video scripts and storyboards
- Job aids and performance support tools
- Quizzes, assessments, scenarios and activities
- Online resources and documentation
- Design best-in-class training decks for instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid learning experiences, primarily using PowerPoint (and/or equivalent presentation tools), that translate complex concepts, technical content, and process-heavy material into clear, structured, learner-friendly visual narratives. Inclusive of speaker notes, facilitator guide, prompts, activities, discussion questions, and timing guidance.
- Convert synchronous instructor-led content into asynchronous e-learning modules.
- Upload, configure, and manage content in Cornerstone OnDemand, in the form of course or learning paths.
- Curate Learning content into structured pathways for managers, leaders, and individual contributors from sources such as, but not limited to, Linked In Learning.
- Design customized learning journeys to support specific onboarding needs (manager capability, leadership effectiveness, technical skill-building, etc.).
- Monitor and refine pathways for engagement and impact.
- 6+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design.
- Demonstrated success in converting ILT (instructor-led training) into engaging digital learning.
- Proven experience developing engaging and interactive eLearning modules. Candidates should be able to share a sample of work (e.g., eLearning, ILT, storyboard)
- Proficiency with at least one major eLearning authoring tool (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in design of best-in-class training decks for instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid learning experiences.
