Position Overview

Orange Coast College is seeking a full‑time, equity‑minded, tenure‑track faculty member in English Generalist (Puente), commencing with the Fall 2026 semester. The primary teaching assignment involves all areas of English. This assignment also includes curriculum and program development; participation in department, division, and college committees; participatory governance activities assuming leadership roles both within the department and in the institution as a whole;

collaboration across disciplines; leveraging of student support resources; participation in ongoing professional development; and maintaining and performing required accreditation for the program. A portion of the assignment provides instruction and support to the Puente Program, working closely with the Puente Counselor.

The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online, hybrid, or off‑campus and is subject to change as needed.
