Overview
The Coast Community College District (CCCD) includes Coastline, Golden West and Orange Coast Colleges. Responsibilities- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current subject‑matter knowledge.
- Meet the professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online and/or off‑campus classes.
- Valid California Community College instructor credential issued before July 1 1990.
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience.
- Associate degree and six years of professional experience.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to the above; submit an Application for Equivalency.
- Recent community college or lower‑division teaching experience.
- Expertise and professional experience in the field of courses to be taught.
Part‑time, temporary positions with hiring contingent on employment history verification, background check, U.S. work eligibility, and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees. Hours and start date set with supervisor. Positions are added to a continuous recruitment pool lasting one year; applicants may be contacted for interviews as needs arise.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Position holder is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and must comply with Title IX policies.

Based on Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) in accordance with the current Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule.
