Overview
Coast Community College District is a multi‑college district that includes Coastline Community College, Golden West College, and Orange Coast College. The district offers programs in transfer, general education, occupational/technical education, and student support services. Performance Responsibilities- Provide quality instruction in accordance with the established curriculum.
- Create an environment that enhances teaching and learning, encouraging discussion.
- Maintain appropriate professional conduct and stay current in the subject area.
- Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, and/or off‑campus classes.
- a) Valid California Community College instructor credential issued before July 1 1990.
- b) Master’s degree in psychology.
- c) Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work.
- d) Equivalent education and experience.
- Recent community college or lower‑division teaching experience.
- Expertise and professional experience in the field of courses to be taught.
Part‑time, temporary basis. Applicants must reside within commuting distance of Orange County. Position is part of a continuous recruitment pool. Attendance is essential. The holder of this position is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
SalaryBased on lecture hour equivalent (LHE) per the current Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule.
