Clinical Research Psychiatrist

This role is ideal for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO) with a strong interest in clinical research. A PhD or Master’s in Clinical Research, Public Health, or a related field is highly preferred. You’ll oversee a growing portfolio of psychiatric research studies, including trials in depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders

• Direct and oversee clinical trials conducted across our Orange and Costa Mesa locations
• Ensure compliance with all IRB, FDA, GCP, and sponsor requirements
• Collaborate with pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, and internal leadership on study selection, protocol design, and site readiness
• Supervise research coordinators and clinical staff involved in study execution
• Maintain the highest standards of ethical research conduct and patient safety

• Perform psychiatric evaluations for study participants
• Serve as Principal or Sub-Investigator on current and future studies
• Monitor patient progress and contribute clinical insights to ongoing protocols
• Communicate with participants about risks, benefits, and the purpose of research activities

• Help expand the research program by identifying new study opportunities and therapeutic areas
• Lead or contribute to internal quality improvement initiatives related to research workflows
• Present outcomes and findings to stakeholders or at scientific conferences (if applicable)
• Collaborate with our interventional psychiatry and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care and integration of research with general practice

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry (required)
• PhD or Master’s degree in Clinical Research, Public Health, or related field (strongly preferred)
• Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical trials
• Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, IRB procedures, and clinical trial conduct
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• California medical license (or eligibility)
