The Graphic Designer – Apparel supports the Women’s Design / Creative team by creating compelling, on-brand graphics for apparel collections across multiple categories. Reporting to the Art Manager / VP of Design & Merchandising, this role partners closely with Apparel Design, Product Development, and Merchandising to deliver graphics that elevate product, resonate with the consumer, and align with seasonal direction, trend, and commercial goals.
This role blends creative expression with commercial awareness, ensuring all artwork is brand-aligned, production-ready, and delivered on time.
How You’ll Contribute- Design original, on-trend graphics for in-line apparel categories including tees, fleece, sportswear, swim, and accessories.
- Translate seasonal concepts, mood boards, and trend direction into strong, commercially viable graphic executions.
- Develop artwork across screen print, placement print, embroidery, appliqué, and digital print techniques.
- Create and adapt artwork for SMU and Quick Strike programs in partnership with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sales.
- Maintain consistency with brand identity while evolving the creative language.
- Adapt graphics across multiple silhouettes, categories, and price tiers.
- Partner closely with Apparel Design to support product storytelling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing.
- Participate in seasonal design reviews and presentations.
- Prepare production-ready artwork including color separations, color pitches, and technical specs.
- Manage graphic comments and revisions through development and bulk production.
- Maintain organized artwork files, libraries, and seasonal archives.
- Research graphic trends, typography, illustration styles, and cultural influences.
- Monitor competitor and market trends to inform design decisions.
- 2–5+ years of graphic design experience within apparel or lifestyle brands.
- Strong illustration and/or hand-drawn graphic capability.
- Solid understanding of apparel graphics and print production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong eye for typography, layout, and composition.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with in surf, skate, or lifestyle brands.
- Knowledge of global sourcing and factory workflows.
- Experience across men’s, women’s, and/or youth categories.
