Assurance Senior - (Public Company Audit Experience)

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Senior with public company audit experience to join a dynamic, client‑focused team.

The Assurance Senior will coordinate the day‑to‑day planning, fieldwork, and wrap‑up of audit engagements, preparing financial statements with disclosures and applying GAAP principles. Responsibilities include evaluating internal control systems, serving as the primary client contact for audit questions, and participating in reviews and agreed‑upon procedure engagements.

• Lead planning, fieldwork, and audit close activities, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgets.
• Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
• Document, validate, and assess the design and operating effectiveness of client internal control systems.
• Communicate audit findings and recommend control improvements to clients.
• Serve as the client contact for audit questions and information.
• Assist with reviews, agreed‑upon procedures, and special audits as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics (required) OR CPA certification (required).
• Master’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
• Two or more years of audit experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting (required).
• Prior supervisory experience (preferred).
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon hiring and actively pursuing completion of the exams (required).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
• Experience with assurance applications and research tools (preferred).
