  • Analyze and trend complaint data to drive actions that reduce repeat issues and overall customer complaints.

Corrective Action (CA) System
  • Initiate and manage corrective actions arising from customer complaints, audit findings, and significant or repeat issues.

  • Lead structured root cause analysis and countermeasure development using 5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D, and A3 methodologies.

  • Verify effectiveness, ensure actions are appropriately scoped (correction vs. corrective action), and confirm proper documentation and closure.

  • Support day‑to‑day ISO 9001 execution in partnership with the QMS Manager, maintaining audit‑ready records and logs.

  • Serve as a point person for training system execution by helping ensure training records are maintained and supporting onboarding through coordination with department owners.

  • Provide data and inputs for management review, including KPIs, complaint and CA status, audit results, training/onboarding metrics, and improvement actions.

Internal Audit Program
  • Coordinate the internal audit schedule, auditor assignments, and audit preparation activities.

  • Participate in internal audits and issue reports and findings supported by objective evidence.

  • Track audit findings to closure, trigger corrective actions when required, and trend results to identify systemic improvement opportunities.

Documentation & Document Control
  • Support departments in creating and updating SOPs and work instructions, with emphasis on CTQs, acceptance criteria, and point‑of‑use clarity.

  • Assist with document control activities, including revisions, approvals, release, obsolescence, and change communication.

  • Reinforce linkage between updated documents, training requirements, and execution on the floor.

Industry Standards, Certifications & External Requirements

(AWWA, NSF, UL, BNQ, and Customer Specifications)

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of applicable industry standards and certification requirements.

  • Support compliance activities by coordinating evidence and records, partnering with process owners, and supporting internal and external reviews.

  • Manage external documents related to standards and certifications, ensuring current versions are controlled and changes are communicated to impacted functions.

Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean activities, including Kaizen events, A3s, and scrap reduction initiatives.

  • Use data to prioritize improvement opportunities and reduce variation, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.

  • Convert improvements into sustained controls through standard work updates, check sheets, and audit points.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and cross‑functional communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing quality concepts and a willingness to learn ISO 9001, industry standards, and certification requirements.

Preferred
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, process engineering, continuous improvement, or a related role.

  • Foundry or heavy manufacturing experience; exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
