Role Responsibilities- Patient assessment before, during, and after cath procedures.
- Scrubbing in and assisting with catheterization, device delivery, and imaging guidance.
- Maintaining sterile technique and patient safety through meticulous monitoring of vital signs, rhythm, and sedation levels.
- Preparing and managing equipment, anticoagulation protocols, and contrast administration under physician guidance.
- Documenting procedures accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Coordinating with anesthesia, imaging, and post‑procedure units to ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and in‑service education.
You’ll have continual opportunities for professional growth: pursuing cath lab‑specific certifications, expanding into PCI or EP subspecialties, taking on preceptor duties for new staff, and positioning yourself for extended contract periods that reflect your performance and reliability.
