A $5,000.00 Targeted Sign on Stipend is available to applicants who are hired for this position.
POSITION OVERVIEWOne of the earliest forms of learning for a child is language. This position offers both roles of an evaluator and practitioner of language skills and how that impacts overall access to learning. As a part of our team of extraordinary educators, you will have the joy of witnessing the development of a student’s ability to connect with their world. This interesting and dynamic position offers opportunities to work closely with a team of evaluators to assess a student holistically, to learn from each other and you grow in your own skills.
QUALIFICATIONS1. A Master’s degree or higher.
2. One of the following:
- Speech Language Pathology License as issued by the Oregon Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology or if licensed before 2015.
- Oregon Teaching License with Communication Disorders endorsement and American Speech and Hearing Association, Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology, or actively pursuing this Certificate.
3. Demonstrated successful experience in special education, including work with high needs populations.
4. Successful experience working with children birth – 5 years old.
5. Effective oral and written communication skills.
6. Meet requirements of finger-print-based criminal history record verification.
7. Such alternatives to certain above qualifications may apply as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent and/or Board of Directors.
