Opportunity

We re seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our amazing psychiatry team and lead our Spravato® services. In this role, you ll be an essential part of our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. In addition to providing day to day support for our incredible psychiatry patients, you will have the opportunity to take the lead on supporting clients through their in-office treatments with Spravato®, a revolutionary nasal spray treatment for depression and suicidality.

What You'll Do

Provide exceptional patient care by offering information, services, and assistance

Conduct preliminary assessments including vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temperature)

Manage patient charts, pre-visit documentation, and consent forms

Answer phone calls and schedule appointments with professionalism and care

Pre-screen clients for Spravato® and perform prior authorizations, keep records, and attend to client needs during treatments

Counsel patients and respond to their questions with empathy and knowledge

Manage medical supplies inventory and equipment maintenance

Refill medications

Support diagnostic and procedure coding

Contribute to a safe, healthy, and welcoming work environment

Maintain confidentiality and secure patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent. EMTs and LPNs may be considered

May consider strong non-certified MA if will agree to obtain certification

1+ years of experience in a medical office setting

Proficiency with EMR (electronic medical records) and medical terminology

Strong skills in Google Docs/Sheets or Microsoft Office

18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in psychiatry or mental health settings

Training or experience in cultural humility and culturally responsive care

Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices

Knowledge of HIPAA best practices

This individual must have a friendly and professional personality along with a passion for improving the lives of others. The successful candidate for this position will have an interest in cultural awareness to serve a diverse client base. Must work well in a team setting with collaboration and possess excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills.
