Overview

This is a hybrid position. Interested candidates must be able to work onsite as needed in the Corvallis, Oregon area.

Responsibilities
  • Partners with Enterprise Risk Services and organizational leadership to advance a culture of safety across Samaritan Health Services (SHS). This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving patient safety and clinical risk programs that prevent harm, enhance patient safety, and reduce risk to patients, staff, and the organization.
  • Implements and monitors a Patient Safety Program that promotes a culture of safety and the prevention of avoidable harm. Provides expertise and support to identify, monitor, analyze, trend and mitigate potential risks to the organization. This department is responsible for all lines of business in all service locations.
Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field required.
  • Seven (7) years recent experience in patient safety, healthcare risk management, quality improvement, or a position of similar responsibility and/or complexity required.
  • Experience with performance improvement, change management, program coordination and/or policy and procedure development required.
  • Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS) required within two (2) years of hire.
  • Recent experience in a health care leadership role preferred.
  • Master's degree in a health care related field preferred.
