Benton County Health Services is seeking a Young Adult Tobacco Inspector
The Young Adult Tobacco Inspector (on-call) will be responsible for conducting compliance inspections on retail establishments that sell all manner of tobacco products. These inspections are made to ensure compliance with county, state and federal laws related to the sale and underage use of tobacco and underage smoking. They will be accompanied by Tobacco Retail License (TRL) Program staff and will visit various licensed tobacco retail businesses throughout the year.
These inspections are required under state law and will monitor and test retailer compliance. This is a temporary, on-call position.
Please note this position has an age requirement of 18-20 years old in order to conduct minimum legal tobacco sales age inspections.

Your Total Compensation/Benefits- Hourly salary range of $15.07 - $19.45

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
- Must have a current state issued identification card or driver license.
- Must be ages 18-20 (please note this position has an age requirement in order to conduct minimum legal tobacco sales age inspections. This is a bona fide occupational qualification for this position, as it directly relates to the job duties and responsibilities).

- This position will require mobility to enter and depart retail locations, open doors. Keyboard typing and handwriting will be necessary on forms.
- Travel is required in order to conduct inspections. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. The employee may occasionally work with angry or hostile clients or members of the public. They will come in contact with and handle tobacco products.
