Job Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill one part‑time (approximately 20 hours per week) Administrative Program Assistant position for the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University (OSU). The position resides in the Department of Horticulture and supports programs including Horticulture, Entomology, Plant Breeding & Genetics, undergraduate degree programs and the Horticulture Graduate Program. It provides service to a variety of audiences: prospective and current students in degree‑seeking and non‑degree‑seeking status, as well as faculty and other OSU administrative units.

The role requires knowledge of and ability to articulate institutional policy and procedure related to admissions, registration, program requirements across a variety of undergraduate degree programs and minors, and the Horticulture Graduate Program. The incumbent is expected to provide excellent customer service and must have knowledge of university, college, graduate school, and department operations, procedures, and guidelines.
