Associate Dean of Students and Educational Innovation
Oregon State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean of Students and Educational Innovation in the College of Engineering. The College of Engineering, founded in 1889, is the largest and most respected engineering institution at OSU, enrolling nearly 11,000 students—5th largest undergraduate program—ranking among the top U.S. programs. With over 300 faculty, deep industry partnerships, and a globally recognized research enterprise, the College delivers world‑class expertise across all major disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Elevate undergraduate student success and drive educational innovation across the College.
- Unify advising across schools and lead efforts to close achievement gaps.
- Enhance academic integrity processes and expand experiential learning opportunities.
- Support mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Guide curricular and pedagogical innovation across schools.
- Contribute to the College’s 2026‑2030 strategic plan and ensure alignment with OSU‑wide goals related to degree completion, access, online learning, and teaching excellence.
- Support the university’s Prosperity Widely Shared strategic plan.
- Record of strategic leadership and deep commitment to excellence.
- Experience in evidence‑based teaching and learning.
- Skill in fostering positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strength in supervision, academic program leadership, assessment and accreditation, co-curricular development, and managing student‑centered policies and processes.
- Outstanding communication skills, collaborative leadership, crisis response capabilities, and the ability to cultivate a culture of trust, innovation, and continuous improvement.
