Youth Development, Child Development/Support
Prioritize systematically excluded children and families to create affordable preschool to 1st-grade physical activity and school readiness activities. The VISTA project will help remove socio-economic barriers to participation in schoolyear and summer Kid Spirit programs. Lower-income students are most likely to fall behind in school due to summer loss, this is to bridge that gap. Build programs for this specific age group will allow extended activity days for working families.
