Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure/tenure-track (annual) Associate or Full Professor position (depending on qualifications).

Any hiring at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor with indefinite tenure will be subject to a successful out-of-cycle tenure review process: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..

This position will engage in teaching, research, and service in the Department of Mathematics. The area of research is in a mathematical area that complements and strengthens the research interests of the Department of Mathematics  successful candidate will bring an established, active research program and will participate in the fostering of high-quality research in the College of Science and OSU.

Candidates will be considered for the George Earl Barr Endowed Professorship, subject to Provost approval.

Tenure stream faculty in the College of Science and the Department of Mathematics are expected to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, advising and other institutional activities; achievement in scholarship and creative activity that establishes the individual as a significant contributor to the field or profession; and an appropriate balance of institutional and professional service. All professorial positions are expected to make significant contributions to undergraduate and graduate education.
