This recruitment will be used to fill three part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Wellness Specialist positions for the Recreational Sports department at Oregon State University (OSU).
Wellness Specialists report to the Fitness & Wellness Coordinator and are responsible for promoting and supporting health behaviors for students and the OSU community. Through wellness coaching, specialists assist students in defining wellness goals, applying their strengths, and removing barriers. Wellness specialists also assist with Fitness & Wellness events and educational opportunities.

- Leadership: Lead wellness coaching sessions while maintaining accurate and confidential coaching records in alignment with professional standards.
- Equity and Inclusion: Create an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment that supports the diverse identities, backgrounds, and experiences of all participants.
- Communication: Provide excellent customer service that fosters approachability and motivates participants to pursue and achieve their individual wellness goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of campus wellness resources to make informed referrals and support participants’ holistic well-being.
- Professionalism: Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training to contribute to team effectiveness and ongoing professional development.
