Appointment Type: Academic Faculty (fixed‑term, non‑tenure track)
Job Location: OSU – available campuses and Ecampus (remote/hybrid options)
Job SummaryOne or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track full/part‑time Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Some appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis.
Instructors may teach any of the regularly offered courses in the FWCS undergraduate curriculum and occasional graduate courses, on‑campus or via Ecampus.
Key Responsibilities- 90% Teach Courses: Teach courses on a term‑by‑term basis, including driving state and/or federal vehicles to sites for field research protocols.
- 5% Curriculum Development: Review current curriculum and develop new or updated course offerings to allow for distance education delivery.
- 5% Supervision: Supervise a graduate teaching assistant for some courses, including planning, assigning, and approving work.
- M.A./M.S. in fisheries, wildlife, biological/environmental science, or related field.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.
- For distance education positions, experience with instruction of distance education courses.
- Evidence of teaching excellence (student, peer, or mentor evaluations).
- Life experience, education, or training that broadens capacity to equalize student success or impact underserved audiences.
- Must pass a motor vehicle history check and possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
- Position may be designated as a critical or security‑sensitive role; candidates must successfully complete a criminal history check.
