Position Overview Marin Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and passionate AMI Trained Primary Guide to join our team. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, we are committed to nurturing each child's potential through a comprehensive and enriching curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, individualized lessons in all curriculum areas as outlined in the AMI program, fostering independence and concentration.
- Support, guide, and assess students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Model grace, courtesy, and positive behavior while guiding children in self-regulation and conflict resolution.
- Effectively communicate with parents regarding Montessori education, child development, and student progress.
- Foster professional and supportive relationships with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with colleagues, in alignment with our school mission, values, and professional expectations.
- Maintain a safe, beautiful, organized classroom supporting exploration and precision.
- Train and mentor classroom assistants to support a collaborative learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records, complete lesson planning, and communicate regularly with parents.
- Engage in continuous professional development and uphold Montessori principles.
- AMI Montessori Primary certification required.
- Prior experience in a primary Montessori classroom preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and parents.
- Bachelor9s Degree
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Sit and move easily on the floor

This is an exempt, full-time position. The employment start date is July 1, while the report-to-campus date is August 13, 2026. Hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday. The salary and benefits package are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range is $75,000- $100,000 annually.
