RH is seeking a Director of Product Curation to help lead the vision, selection, and strategy across product categories. This role defines the aesthetic and quality of our collections, shaping the experience our clients see, feel, and live with. The ideal candidate combines a refined design sensibility with extensive experience of upholstery product development to create collections that elevate our brand and inspire our clients.
YOURRESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end curation and development of product assortments, ensuring alignment with RH’s brand vision and strategic objectives
- Develop and execute product strategies that deliver inspiring, design-forward collections reflective of our brand values and customer aspirations & quality
- Research and analyze market trends, materials, and competitive landscapes to inform innovation and maintain category leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams to ensure consistency, quality, and execution from concept through final sample approval
- Cultivate relationships with global suppliers and artisans to secure the highest quality materials, craftsmanship, and innovation
- Maintain an organized archive of CAD files, samples, and material updates, ensuring transparency and efficiency across teams
- Inspire creative collaboration by sharing trend insights and championing new ideas that evolve our product offering
- Oversee category sample budgets and timelines, ensuring responsible and efficient financial management across all stages of development
- 8+ years of experience in product design, development, or curation, ideally within upholstery or furniture
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage product life cycles from concept to market
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, or similar industry-standard design tools, with strong spatial and visual presentation skills
- Deep understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methods, paired with an elevated design aesthetic
- Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across teams
- A refined eye for detail and design excellence, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Occasional travel, both domestically and internationally, to visit suppliers, attend trade shows, and review product samples
- Visually assess material quality, color accuracy, and design details under various lighting conditions
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines or support cross-functional initiatives
