We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/third-key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

The role analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and supports asset protection, store promotion, and new customer acquisition. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance; pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with law.
