Project Coordinator - Utility System Maintenance
Job Summary: Provides planning, construction inspection, site investigation, plan development and design of utility line repair, replacement, and relocation. Coordinates all aspects of utility relocation, construction and offers expertise in methodologies regarding utility construction.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must have technical or professional proficiency and a general understanding of related principles and theories of water systems, sewerage systems, construction management, and civil engineering. Must have knowledge of NCTCOG testing procedures. Knowledge of construction materials used in water and sewer lines, pump stations, wells and tanks is required. Five (5) years of experience in developing, overseeing, and management of utility projects.
Experience in working with contractors and other utility companies. Ability to schedule work on a short- and long-term basis. Must have physical strength and agility to do strenuous laboring tasks under varying weather conditions and have the ability to operate various equipment including but not limited to backhoes, track hoes, and dump trucks. Ability to read and write legibly; ability to use computers and other related office equipment.
Must have basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications. Must have ability to effectively work with the public and other City employees.
Licenses and Certificates:
Must have the ability, within five (5) years of the date of hire, to receive and maintain a Class “B” (minimum) Water Distribution and a Class “III” (minimum) Wastewater license within five (5) years as issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Must have and maintain, before being hired, a valid Texas Motor Vehicle Class “A” (minimum) CDL License.

The City of Corsicana has established the goal of a 100% drug and alcohol-free workplace. Must have & maintain a valid Texas Motor Vehicle Driver’s License and must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Must satisfactorily complete a one-year probation period.
