AboutThe Role
We are currently seeking five SC Cleared Network Engineers to join our esteemed client on a permanent basis. These roles offer a competitive base salary of up to £70,000 and are based in Corsham, with a hybrid working model requiring onsite presence 2‑3 days per week. The successful candidates will be integral to a new and exciting MOD project, responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures.
As part of this team, you will work on cutting‑edge network solutions, ensuring security, performance, and reliability across critical systems. The role demands active SC clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work, and candidates must be able to start flexibly, accommodating varying notice periods.
- minimum of three years of industry experience in network engineering, with demonstrable expertise in designing and managing enterprise‑level networks
- hands‑on experience with hierarchical IP subnetting, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and proficiency with enterprise routing, switching, and firewall platforms
- practical knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco IOS XE software, Leaf and Spine architectures, VXLAN overlays, and DMVPN configurations
- familiarity with firewall IPS/IDS, AAA platforms like ISE, TRL crypto configuration, key management, and full QoS configuration and optimization
- relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP or higher are highly desirable
- design, deploy, and maintain secure and robust network solutions tailored to the MOD project requirements
- configure and troubleshoot hierarchical IP subnetting, routing protocols, and network architectures such as Leaf and Spine
- implement and optimize VXLAN overlays, dual cloud dual hub DMVPN, and firewall security measures including IPS/IDS
- ensure high availability and performance through QoS policies and network monitoring
- collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to develop network strategies, document configurations, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting
- maintain compliance with security standards and ensure the integrity of the network infrastructure
