General Job Description
The HVAC Apprentice assists licensed HVAC Technicians and Installers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals seeking hands‑on experience and training in residential HVAC systems. No prior experience is required—we provide full training.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the crew or leadman with daily tasks across various job sites.
- Assist with installing HVAC ductwork, systems, and components under the supervision of a licensed technician.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites; load, unload, and prepare work areas.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and job sites to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork using hand and power tools.
- Learn and follow all safety procedures, building codes, and company policies.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools.
- Communicate effectively with crew leads and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- No prior HVAC or construction experience necessary—we will train you.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
- No license required; we will help you apply for an apprentice license if hired.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Work may include attics, crawl spaces, and confined or dusty areas.
- Noise level can be moderate to loud; PPE (personal protective equipment) is required.
