Diesel Technician

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues
• Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needed
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diesel mechanic training program or apprenticeship preferred
• ASE certification in diesel engine repair (e.g., Medium-Heavy Truck Certification - T-Series) is desirable
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and technical manuals
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
